OPEN FORUM
Following a well-attended and constructive Open Forum on the 7th November our President, Shane Houlihan, spoke about the activities of the club in 2016, our plans for 2017, the progress of the Review Committee and welcomed questions and comments from the floor.

The following events are confirmed in the IVVCC 2017 Calendar:
AGM – 9th April – which will include a car run to the chosen venue
Gordon Bennett – 9th-11th June – Mount Wolseley Hotel, Tullow, Co Carlow
Powerscourt – 20th August
Brass Brigade – 30th September/1st October

The new proposed events were welcomed by the members at the Open Forum and comprise the following:
Post-Christmas Car Run followed by lunch – 15th January
Spring Event for 1930’s Cars – 6th-7th May
IVVCC Festival of Transport – Punchestown in conjunction with our affiliated clubs – 14th May
September – Overseas event – overall consensus would favour a tour of North Wales
October – Classic Car Run – date to be confirmed and full details will be advised very soon.

FIRST MONDAY DECEMBER
Our December First Monday, 5th December will be a social evening in the West County Hotel which will include supper/refreshments. As we need to have an indication of the number of members who will attend, please contact Michael Duff on [email protected] or 087-2578785 to register for the event.

EVENT VOLUNTEERS
Yet again, we are asking members to seriously consider putting their name forward to help in the organisation of even one event on the IVVCC calendar. To ensure that our events are of a high standard and good value, in addition to being an enjoyable social activity, we do need new and energetic input from the members. MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS
Renewal notices for 2017 membership will shortly be issued by email to all members currently on our membership database and will be posted to members who have not, as yet, provided an email address.
