Viewing Points

Gordon Bennett Rally Cars

on Saturday 9th June

As of last year, spectators are welcome to come and see the cars on this year’s Gordon Bennett International Rally. As the Saturday is the only day that all the cars can be seen, I would suggest that this is the best opportunity to see your favourite automobiles.

Basically there will be two routes, one heading east out of Tullow and one heading west. If you want to watch the cars going east you should go to Clonegal, where you will see the cars pass between approximately 10.00am and 11.30am. You will also see the second route cars returning through Clonegal in the afternoon between approximately 2.00pm and 3.30pm.

To see the cars heading west out of Tullow, you should go to Royal Oak, where the cars will pass between approximately 10.00am and 11.30am, with the other cars returning between approximately 2.00pm and 3.30pm.

Both routes converge on Graiguenamanagh for lunch, where the cars can be seen from 12.00am until about 1.30pm. Please park your own car safely and not in a position that may cause difficulties for other road users.

Many thanks and enjoy the day.
