The 2018 IVVCC International Gordon Bennett commenced on a lovely sunny day at the Green Barn Restaurant in Burtown House before travelling to Mount Wolseley Hotel in Tullow, the event base for the weekend.

As Saturday morning dawned, with registration opening at 7.30am, the sun was out and got stronger throughout the day which allowed many people to enjoy picnic lunches in Graignamanagh and at waterside and pavement cafés before heading back to Mount Wolseley to see who would be the worthy winners and enjoy a gala dinner.

Sunday morning was a little later start, but still in wonderful sunshine, 65 people headed for Walsh Whiskey Distillery in Royal Oak where we were entertained to an excellent history and tour of the distillery, culminating in a tasty sample of The Irishman single malt whiskey, a fitting end to a great weekend.

We would like to thank all our participants who made this such a great event and we look forward to meeting you all again in June 2019!
