FIVA Worldwide Historic Vehicle
Survey for Clubs

Dear Club Secretary
Recently FIVA ran a Worldwide Historic Vehicle Survey directed at Club Members, which was concluded in October, and we are thankful to all members who participated in the survey.

We are now requesting Clubs to undertake a separate survey, which is designed to capture more important information on historic car activity.

The IVVCC and FIVA exist to uphold the freedom to use historic vehicles on the road. FIVA and the IVVCC does this by representing the interests of classic and vintage car owners to politicians, government officials and legislators.

In order to be effective, the IVVCC needs to show how substantial and important historic vehicles are in Ireland and that they are an important part of our culture. Many communities, throughout Ireland, value greatly the contribution our clubs make to both young and old.

The survey will use the term “historic vehicle” and the term relates to all vehicles manufactured in 1990 or earlier i.e. vehicles over 30-years-old. If you do not have exact figures for some of the answers please use your best estimate.

We thank you, once again, for your support with this important work.
