of the IVVCC International
Gordon Bennett Rally 2026

We are delighted to announce the 50th Anniversary of the IVVCC’s International Gordon Bennett Rally which is being held from Friday, 5th June to Sunday, 7th June 2026. We are very appreciative that we continue to receive sponsorship from CHUBB – NFP insurances. The event is open to all cars registered before 31st December 1930 and is being held over 3 days.

In this special 50th year, and to encourage the very early cars to participate, the Board of the IVVCC offers a Complimentary Entry to cars registered prior to 31st December 1904 for all entries received by Friday, 8th May 2026.

The event is open to all cars registered before 31st December 1930.

The four classes are:
ANTIQUE: Class A Prior to 31st Dec, 1904
VETERAN: Class B 1st Jan, 1905 – 31st Dec, 1918
VINTAGE: Class C 1st Jan, 1919 – 31st Dec, 1926
VINTAGE: Class C1 1st Jan, 1927 – 31st Dec, 1930

All classes of cars are eligible for the Overall Prize.

Once again, we are based at the Mount Wolseley Hotel, Tullow, Co. Carlow and the route for this 50th year has already been planned with interesting scenic roads for this historic occasion, which will include a lunch on Saturday at our designated lunch stop.

The event will start on Friday 5th at 7.00pm with pre-buffet drink, followed by a Buffet Supper at 7.30pm on Friday evening.

Registration will commence on Saturday 6th from 8.00am in Mount Wolseley Conference Centre and all cars should be away, in numerical order, from the starting area by 10.00am. Whilst this is an event which appeals to the keen entrant with competitive regularity sections, it is also a very social event with opportunities to experience some early summer scenery and social occasions at the several coffee stops and the designated lunch stop before returning to Mount Wolseley in the late afternoon. This year we are going to Grangecon Stud (courtesy of Brian and Sarah King) and we will be providing lunch for all participants. 

Our Gala Dinner on Saturday night is at 8.00pm and is always a very popular evening and an opportunity to see the worthy prize winners and share anecdotes from the Rally.

Closing Date for receipt of entries is Friday 8th May 2026. Refunds WILL NOT be possible six weeks prior to the event. An Event Schedule will be provided by email to all entrants in the week prior to the event and registration car plate, headlamp numbers and route books will be available from 8.00am until 10.00am on Saturday morning.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
Our allocation of rooms in Mount Wolseley will be managed directly by the hotel. Anyone intending to stay overnight in the hotel should contact Mount Wolseley Reception on +353 (0)59 9180100 at an early date. The hotel will release any unreserved rooms six weeks prior the event. Please quote IVVCC2026 for our negotiated rates.

Mount Wolseley has a number of private houses available for rent which should be negotiated directly with the hotel.
